Andrew did a fantastic job teaching the basics of Pickleball in his beginner class. He altered the pace depending on our group’s needs. I will definitely take more lessons from him.

I started lessons with Andrew three months ago with some basic beginner skills, and the 10‑pack was exactly what I needed. He had a clear, structured plan for each session and taught me skills I could practice on my own and then come back to refine with him. He was flexible with where my skill level actually was, but he also challenged me in the right ways. That combination helped me move ahead much faster than I would have on my own. By the end of the 10 lessons, I felt confident playing in social games. Highly recommend him for anyone wanting real progress and solid fundamentals.

Andrew was great! He is a no nonsense, tell it like he sees it kind of guy. If you want a friend, get a dog. If you want to become a better pickleball player, get Andrew.

Questions about group pickleball lessons
Do you provide equipment?
I will have additional paddles available for use if you do not have a good paddle. Just wear court shoes, bring a good attitude and a bottle of water.
Are you flexible with locations?
Yes, I am willing to coach most anywhere in Leland and Wilmington. Just be aware that if we are using a public court that we are limited by when others are playing. Early morning or evenings are usually not a good time to coach at Public Parks but we can always reserve a court at Indoor facility with enough lead time.
What is your cancellation policy?
I am very flexible and will not charge for a cancellation unless i went to the court and there was a no-show.
What ages do you teach?
I teach pickleball to kids, teenagers, adults, and seniors. Pickleball is a paddle sport played on a court with a net and a perforated ball. I meet players at their current level and use play, observations, and feedback to guide adjustments. Share the student’s age, experience, and goals to help decide if lessons are a fit.
What experience levels do you teach?
I teach pickleball to brand-new players, advanced beginners, and intermediate players. We learn through playing together, with observations, explanations, and chances to try adjustments. I also take a senior player’s age and any limited mobility into account.
What happens during the first lesson?
In your first pickleball lesson, I’ll check your core fundamentals and tailor the focus to your needs. We’ll spend most of the time playing together: I’ll observe, explain adjustments to your technique or court position, and have you try them again.
Can I take a lesson with a friend or family member?
Yes, you can take a pickleball lesson with a friend or family member. I enjoy teaching pairs; we’ll work through play, observations, recommendations, and trying adjustments, and you can reinforce the lesson fundamentals together afterward.
